Vildhjärta/na – Lydia
Dreamy pop from Vildhjärta/na to start off your Monday. Don’t let the visually stimulating video distract you too much as you slave away at your jobs. I’m very excited to hear more for these guys.
Duvchi – Whole Life Tour
This may have been released a year ago, but it’s too good to pass up and too soon for a Throwback Thursday. The only qualm I have with it is the ending but it is still simply beautiful.
Name the Pet – To Remind Me
Friday dance party and we are ready to go. Name the Pet released this song four months ago and I’ve very glad I stumbled upon it.
Throwback Thursday – The Knife – One Hit
On Monday night, I was preparing my dinner and this song came on. It clicked in my head that I haven’t featured the Knife quite enough, and how I am sad that they are coming to an end. One of the best live shows I have ever had the chance to see. If you don’t believe me, they have plenty of their performances on Youtube.
Death in the Afternoon – Let’s Talk
Last week, Swedish Duo Death in the Afternoon released this awesome tune as the first single on their upcoming record. Dancey grooves to get you through the midweek.
José González – This is How We Walk On The Moon
It’s been a while since we heard from the man who covered “Heartbeats” by the Knife. He’s now come back with a cover of Arthur Russell’s “This is How We Walk on the Moon” and its just as smooth and simple as Jose’s other work. He’s brought back his magical voice to give life to a song that is often overlooked.
Happy Birthday BFF!
It’s my BFF’s birthday and in true Swedes are Sweet fashion, I dedicate my blog to those in my life whose special day it is by posting their favorite Swedish song. Sahara Hotnights are just as rocking as she is. Happy Birthday Punk Rock Girl!
Oh My O – Diggin Deep
Their second album was released back and April and I am so happy to have found this today so I can spread the word just a few months later. I couldn’t find a video for the song “Dance to Our Heartbeats” that danced its way into our heart, but I was able to dig deep and find “Diggin Deep” to add some joy to all your ears.
Wallenberg – Dark Caberet
Keep the dancing going with Wallenberg from Stockholm. Artsy, dance worthy electro-pop.
