In just a few hours, I will board a plane to Sweden to help my lovely friend Jackie(author of Makemydag) with Friendsgiving Sweden 2.0. I am excited to see the beautiful country full of beautiful music and people, but before I go. Here is a the new extremely catchy single from Billy Momo. It’s sure to get stuck on repeat in your head.
I was just listening to Heart/Dancer on Wednesday and thought to myself…When are they going to release something song so I can post it. Well they must have read my mind cause here it is one day old. I love it. Slow start bursting into a dancey phenomena. Perfect for electropop Friday!
Below is the beautiful new video from Adna. I love her voice, I love her lyrics, I love the beautiful melodies she brings forth in her songs. She speaks to my soul!
So I make my own rules, so today I am going to take a Swedish break to post my favorite band. The song even talks about breaking rules. I love it! I was really scared that I wouldn’t but this song really makes me want to jump from my chair and shake! I can’t wait to hear more from the new album. If it’s anything like the name of the album it’s going to be filled with grooviness!
Sweet serenade synth pop awesomeness. Welcome back Honeydrips!
Electro pop Friday is back! And of course, I feel I found a great one for you to dance into your weekend. For anyone dealing with the “Sadness Disease” this song should pick you up!
Today I am throwing back to a band I always tend to forget is Swedish, The Soundtrack of Our Lives. From their album “Behind the Music” from 2001, the song “Sister Surround” is one of my favorite songs to dance to. The band gained popularity in the United States in 2002 when they joined Oasis on Tour and their album was coined “the best album to come out in the last six years” by Noel Gallagher. Unfortunately for us, the band has since parted ways. Hopefully they will reunite one day and give us some new tunes to dance to.
The psych rock sound that came out of the 60s is now coming out of Sweden and boy is it good.
I’ve been meaning to post this for awhile but I waited because I couldn’t quite pinpoint what the video and song reminded me of. Well I give up trying to figure it out, maybe you guys can give me some help. But in the meantime, let Linus Lutti give you a great folky pop song as treat for your ears.
I’m so excited to be back writing this blog daily. I have so much to show you guys. A new single off their forthcoming album, Boeoes Kaelstigen is beautiful, heart warming synth pop from Stockholm, Sweden that leaves me wanting to hear more. I don’t know why but I got a little Debbie Gibson feeling mixed with Martika when I was listening to it for the first time. I love it!
