I get super excited when I find about about new bands coming out of Göteborg. Wildhart is a dynamic trio of electro-pop goodness. With all its exhilarating twists and turns, this song is absolutely amazing with all. Starts with a basic yet dynamic intro and then sends you on an electro pop journey and ends with the same dynamic simplicity it began with. If this is their first single, I am excited to see what else they can come up with.
iamamiwhoami – The Last Dancer
To quote my brother, “beauty beauty beauty.” I have begun to know what to expect every time iamamiwhoami releases a new song, a delightful tune with gorgeous melodies and deep lyrics. She keeps releasing greatness. This song is as absolutely stunning as the video visuals. This will probably rank very highly in my top Swedish releases of 2014 which is coming soon to a blog near you . 😉
Cajsa Siik – Birds (Live at Matching Head Studios)
So I like birds, most of my friends know this. So when i saw that Cajsa Siik had a song called “Birds” and that she recorded a live version and posted it to Youtube. It was settled, I had to post it. Beautifully composed music and lyrics with heartfelt vocals make this song hit your soul.
Summer Heart – Sleep
I’ve been meaning to post this for the past few weeks, and now I’m finally getting to it.
Though it’s dark dreary and raining outside here in New York, Summer Heart infuses my heart with the summer happiness with their recent release “Sleep.” I really wish I could sleep all day like the song suggests. In typical Summer Heart fashion they present a poppy dance melody with awesome lyrics. It will leave you feeling happy and ready to get through his winter.
Eternal Death – Cry
So I had all these plans to write while I was in Sweden but I was so busy with my friends that I didn’t get a chance. So now I sit in Amsterdam with a sad heart and very slow internet trying to post the new Eternal Death song. The new song is called “Cry” which I want to do right now because I have to go back home, but the song doesn’t encompass the sadness I am feeling. Instead the vocals give this pleading feeling of hope and desire. Leaving you with an exhilarating feeling as you make your way through the dancey head bopping beat. I can’t wait for their self titled album to be released in February.

In just a few hours, I will board a plane to Sweden to help my lovely friend Jackie(author of Makemydag) with Friendsgiving Sweden 2.0. I am excited to see the beautiful country full of beautiful music and people, but before I go. Here is a the new extremely catchy single from Billy Momo. It’s sure to get stuck on repeat in your head.

So I make my own rules, so today I am going to take a Swedish break to post my favorite band. The song even talks about breaking rules. I love it! I was really scared that I wouldn’t but this song really makes me want to jump from my chair and shake! I can’t wait to hear more from the new album. If it’s anything like the name of the album it’s going to be filled with grooviness!
