I’m so glad the January music lull is over and Sameblod is back with a new electro-pop dancey fantastic song!
Month: February 2015
Zhala – Aerobic Lambada
Depending how your Valentine’s day turned out, either your chocolate hungover today or alcohol hungover. So get up and dance to get those endorphins going and that toxicity out of your system. Robyn’s friend Zhala is here to help you do so with her new single. A little interesting at first but they you’re swept away into an dancing fantasy!
Summer Heart – Beat of Your Heart
Summer Heart has yet to make my heart sad with their lovely pop music. I can’t wait to see them play in Brooklyn. Their music can fill a cold heart with so much joy! Summer Heart…will you be my valentine?
Sirena – Lunar Lights
I’ve been meaning to post Sirena for awhile now. Luckily for me I got an email reminder about her. Sirena is delightful pop, in a few songs I felt a little Taylor Dayne going on(whom I loved as a child) This is perfect music to dance, or even chill out to. Enjoy!
Throwback Thursday – The Mary Onettes – Pleasure Songs
Today is a special Throwback Thursday because I’m finally getting to see the Mary Onettes tonight at the Cameo Gallery. I had tickets to see them last year but there was a visa issue. So tonight, I will got with my friend and have him experience some delicious Swedish Dream Pop.
Hailing from my favorite little Swedish town of Jönköping, The Mary Onettes fill our ears with delightful soft easy listening pop. It’s easy to get swept away into a day dream when their music is playing in the background while I work.
So here is a Throwback from their delightful 2010 album “Tha Mary Onettes” (extra points if you get their play on words).
Death and Vanilla – California Owls
Released last week, Death and Vanilla gives us a dreamy dose of awesome. This song is all the things that beautiful dreams are made of.
DNKL – Wolfhour
DNKL is back with a new video for their song Wolfhour. The song takes you on an exhilarating journey perfect for a run in the park or a bike ride through the city.
I’m from Barcelona – Violins
I’ve been slacking, but I promise I have a list and will start bringing you new music again this week. If not, you can come punch me in my nose!
Here is my first promise that I do. The video for “Violins” was released last week and it’s great to see the band back together making great music. I know some of you on the East Coast are dealing with this gnarly snow/ice rain, so hopefully this song will warm you up.
