One of my favorite bands of 2014 has already released something amazing two months into the year. With a slightly heavier beat but still embracing us with a hauntingly beautiful melody and melodic vocals to deliver a powerful message through deep lyrics. I wish I could have been an extra for this spectacularly eerie video. I may just have to find a forest to frolic in while listening to their music.

Summer Heart – Sleep
I’ve been meaning to post this for the past few weeks, and now I’m finally getting to it.
Though it’s dark dreary and raining outside here in New York, Summer Heart infuses my heart with the summer happiness with their recent release “Sleep.” I really wish I could sleep all day like the song suggests. In typical Summer Heart fashion they present a poppy dance melody with awesome lyrics. It will leave you feeling happy and ready to get through his winter.
Eternal Death – Cry
So I had all these plans to write while I was in Sweden but I was so busy with my friends that I didn’t get a chance. So now I sit in Amsterdam with a sad heart and very slow internet trying to post the new Eternal Death song. The new song is called “Cry” which I want to do right now because I have to go back home, but the song doesn’t encompass the sadness I am feeling. Instead the vocals give this pleading feeling of hope and desire. Leaving you with an exhilarating feeling as you make your way through the dancey head bopping beat. I can’t wait for their self titled album to be released in February.
Wouie – Broken Age
One of my favorites from this year released their album a few weeks ago and I’ve been too busy to post it. But finally, here it is. A few months ago, I posted their song “Haunting Feeling” but “Broken Age” makes me feel inspired and makes me realize that sometimes we have unrealistic expectations. You may expect someone else to fulfill those expectations but you have learn how to do it on your own.
Last Lynx – Brother
With their upcoming EP release on Friday, Last Lynx is shot out a poppy dance tunes for your to bop to. So hurry up Friday “cause I don’t want to wait much longer.” Like the entrancing “Curtains” this song pulls you in and makes you crave more.
Vildhjärta/na – Lydia
Dreamy pop from Vildhjärta/na to start off your Monday. Don’t let the visually stimulating video distract you too much as you slave away at your jobs. I’m very excited to hear more for these guys.

Chirping – Ambitions
A few weeks ago I posted “A Million Lux” by Chirping that has quickly become part of my regular listening regime. Yesterday, they released a new song that leaves me anticipating their new album. I’m excited to hear more from these guys.

A quite lovely duo from Göteborg, Snäckan & Pärlan are a beautiful feast for your ears. Melancholy guitar melodies combined with melodic vocals are a true delight.
