Folky, and absolutely beautiful. Just the right amount of folk mixed in with a little soul. I stumbled upon this on Bandcamp and I am so glad I did. The Leanids are amazing. You should give them a good listen. Perfect for a lazy day on your couch or to make the time at work pass by.

Luha – Heart
I first featured Luha months ago when I started the blog. I’ve been anticipating a new release for quite some time and she finally delivered. She made it well worth the wait. This song is absolutely beautiful and will lullaby you into a splendor. This song touched me deep in my heart where I am soft.
Throwback Thursday – Ace of Base
So to keep with the way way back Throwbacks on Thursdays. Today I will feature Ace of Base. Campy , Dancey pop of the 90s. I know that when I was a little girl, I knew all the words to these songs. If you grew up in the 90’s you will definitely be familiar with this one. I thank my friends for bringing this up at a get together this past Saturday. I was having Throwback block and now it has been cured!
Linnea Olsson – Breaking and Shaking
I love the cello and I also love Linnea Olsson. I’ll have to wait to feature a song with her cello playing another time. Her recently released video for her song “Breaking and Shaking” is a pop spectacular. In this song she incorporates guitar and drums rather than the use of her cello. Her sweet vocals and the percussion beat make me want to get up dance shake and clap like Carlton from Fresh Prince of Bel Air. This song is magnificent.
Say Lou Lou featuring Lindstrøm – Games for Girls
I think it’s about time I go back to taking you into Friday with a dancey pop tune. So here you guys go. I haven’t featured Say Lou Lou yet because I hadn’t found a song that just fit. This lovely song featuring Norway’s Lindstrøm will make you jump out of your seats and start dancing. Who cares if you’re at work, take a break from your chair and shake those bididbibomboms. I think I will be playing this at my birthday party next week.
Call me – Change (Piano Version)
So there are two versions of this song, the synth poppy greatness that got first grabbed my attention a few months ago and a piano version. Just ethereal vocals and beautiful simplistic piano, Call Me’s new song change is magnificently glorious. For a whole week I debated what version I was going to post and finally decided to go with the piano version. It’s raw, lovely and hits me in my little heart.
Molly Nilson – Plaza Italia
Dark vocals, mixed with a happy synth beat make Molly Nilsson’s new release awesome. I imagine myself listening to this crossing the bridge from Manhattan into Brooklyn and looking out the window of the subway train smiling. Such a great heartfelt song.
Hello Saferide – I Was Jesus
I had Hello Saferide on my Throwback Thursday list, but you can’t imagine how excited I got last week when I was writing my blog to find she released a new song. Her six year hiatus was well worth it. This is a simply divine fun pop song!
iamamiwhoami – Tap Your Glass
My brother featured this the other day so I held off in order to not double up. The always beautiful and amazing iamamiwhoami brings us a yet another new gorgeous video. The song is also wonderful!
Throwback Thursday – Vanessa – Upside Down
So last year my darling Brother Oblivious discovered a woman named Vanessa. Don’t ask me how, but she has taken over his life by storm. I think Olivia Newton John stole her “Physical” video idea from Vanessa. I have no idea which came first but Olivia got nothin’ on Vanessa.
