I’ve been waiting to talk about Mountain Bird for the video to be available in the United States…hint hint. But I can wait no longer to introduce this dreamy pop band to you lovely people who read my blog. I seriously can’t believe this song is the product of one person. Beautifully breathy vocals, and atmospheric sounds make this song amazing. Check out the beautiful track

Stars in a Coma – Tricks
I can’t explain how excited I get when I find fun Swedish pop music. Stars in a Coma is the epitome of that. They make me want to dance and just give me an overall happy feeling. I’m bummed that I missed them last month when they played New York,
But I’ll just listen to their songs to make me feel better. Dance and clap and have a good time.
Westkust – Summer 3D
Not any offense to my friends with bands in Brooklyn, but I really wish that I lived in Göteborg when I hear a band like Westkust. They are currently working on a new album and I can’t wait to hear what they have in store for us. Many of you know my hesitation when I read something is shoe gaze. I’d like to say this is a wonderful blend of twee, shoe gaze and dream pop.
The (International) Noise Conspiracy – Smash It Up
This reminds me of when I made the move from Perris, Ca to Los Angeles to start a five year adventure with the coolest roommate ever, my brother! Formed after the break up of Refused, they are know for their punk and garage rock influences as well as their strong politically themed lyrics. I love dancing to this song when I’m annoyed with work.
Green Leaf – Trails and Passes
This is quite different from what I’ve been posting lately. If I had heard this without knowing they were from Sweden, I would think they were from the UK. Greenleaf describe themselves as “rock n’ roll, psychedelic, stoner, doom, blues, hard rock, fuzz, metal, sludge, vintage 70’s style rawk.” I like to see this as part of the comeback of guitar rock that Alex Turner of the Arctic Monkey spoke about. This stuff is great rock and roll. I love the blues guitar mixed with psych rock. I am so glad I stumbled upon this.
Cape Lion – Brother
This song is more addicting now that I listen to it again to write the blog about it. There is an intensity brought forth when watching this alluringly foggy roomed video. One word to describe this song is captivating.
Little Dragon – Paris
So it’s taken me a while to decide what Little Dragon song to feature. But I finally made a choice. Paris is being featured since it involves two of my favorite things…Paris and Swedish Electro pop. I have been sitting at my desk swaying my body. Love this band!
Nina Persson – Food for the Beast
I will never pass up a chance to feature one of my favorite artists, Nina Persson. And what can I say about her second video “Food for the Beast” from her solo album Animal Heart? First of all, it’s artistically awesome. The visual aspects of it are amazing. I just keep watching it. The song is awesome and is a perfect example of why she is one of my favorites. Relatable lyrics, awesome beats and catchy rhythms! She’s the best and can do no wrong in my eyes!
Also, if this is not enough Nina for you. Read my past dedication to her…My Ode to Nina Persson
jj – All White Everything
I am so glad I waited to post jj. All White Everything is their latest release and an album is currently in the works. From everything I’ve heard from jj this by far has to be one of the best songs they have done. It’s beautiful and entrancing, if the rest of the album is like this we are all in for a treat. Check out this beautifully creepy video below.
Star Horse – Don’t Get Closer & 100 Eyes
Who is ready for more dream pop?! Absolutely beautifully dream pop from Star Horse. Breathy vocals with dreamy melodies will set your mind adrift. Think My Bloody Valentine and Cocteau Twins made a baby and the baby as named Star Horse. I looked on their Facebook page and they categorize themselves as Stargaze which I think is absolutely fitting
