Imitation is the Sincerest Form of Flattery
All it took was someone to light a little fire under my ass to make me want to bring you guys a better blog and an easier way to enjoy the music that I love and hold dear to my heart. I dedicate hours of my time to bringing out what I feel is some of the best music in the world. This blog is my heart, my soul, this “music is my boyfriend”(To quote CSS from Brazil). I will continue to devote hours to bring you sweet sounds for all your pretty ears.
As you seen yesterday, I now have a Spotify account dedicated strictly to Swedes are Sweet. The playlists are divided into each month. I also realized not everyone has access to Spotify and you have to sign up to listen. A quite lovely duo from Göteborg, Snäckan & Pärlan are a beautiful feast for your ears. Melancholy guitar melodies combined with melodic vocals are a true delight. Thisell – A Town of Window
I had no idea what to expect when Thisell contacted me about their album released a few months ago. I heard folk and I automatically assumed it would be something I was opposed to. But I was completely wrong. I can’t stop listening to their music. Lyrically beautifully with entrancing melodies that pull you in. I found myself day dreaming as I listened to their album “I”. The first time I gave it a listen at work and I would like to say it was beautifully distracting. When I listened to it again, I found myself being pulled into a state of hypnosis where all I could do was focus on the beauty of their music. I recommend setting some time aside where you will be distracted by no one to click the video below and let them take you into a beautiful world through their lovely music.

This must have been the surprise Nina Persson was talking about on Facebook a month ago. Featuring other members of the Cardigans and Nina Persson, we have the new Swedish Super Group. I love this song. The only way I can think to describe it is devastatingly beautiful. Well done guys!
